At Wellness Works she leads the company’s strategic growth, partnership development, and oversees its expert and passionate nursing staff.
A seasoned nurse with over twenty years of experience, Michelle spent much of her early career leading award-winning teams in critical care settings. It was the experience of caring for people after they had become afflicted with preventable diseases, that inspired her to create a company dedicated to advancing the health of individuals.
Beyond Michelle’s professional work she is an avid outdoor enthusiast. When she is not working, you will most likely find her hiking a mountain or spending time doing yoga on her stand up paddle board.

Born and raised in the vibrant landscapes of Costa Rica, I grew up surrounded by some of the world’s most breathtaking flora and fauna—between lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and majestic mountains. This natural beauty instilled in me a deep respect for life, balance, and connection.
Motivated by a passion to serve and uplift others, I pursued my academic and professional journey in the United States, earning my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track from Elms College in 2019. Along the way, I recognized a critical need for bilingual and bicultural healthcare providers—those who not only speak the language but truly understand the lived experiences of diverse communities.
I proudly embrace the philosophy of being “a doctor with the heart of a nurse”—blending clinical expertise with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and holistic care. I am committed to being part of a future that empowers meaningful change—one that transforms lives, strengthens communities, and promotes greater equity in healthcare.
Outside of work, I find joy in spending time with my family and embracing the natural beauty of New England. I enjoy scuba diving, relaxation activities, and exploring the outdoors. I’ve been happily married to my scuba diving instructor for nearly 25 years, and together we’ve built a loving home with our two daughters, four dogs, and my mother, who also lives with us.
